UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) water polo is the college water polo team representing UCLA in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The team competes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and has a rich history of success, with 11 NCAA championships and 112 All-Americans.
The UCLA water polo team has produced numerous Olympic medalists and world champions over the years, including Adam Wright, who won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2008 Olympics, and Tony Azevedo, who won silver medals with Team USA at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
The team has also had a number of successful coaches, including Monte Nitzkowski, who led the team to five NCAA championships in the 1970s, and Adam Krikorian, who coached the team to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2008 and 2009.
The UCLA water polo team has a fierce rivalry with the University of Southern California (USC) water polo team, and their annual matchup is known as the "Battle of the Beach." The team plays its home games at the Spieker Aquatics Center on the UCLA campus and is currently led by head coach Adam Wright.
