UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) football is the college football team representing UCLA in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The team competes in the Pac-12 Conference and plays its home games at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
UCLA has a storied football history, with 17 conference championships and a total of 40 bowl game appearances. The team has produced numerous All-Americans, Heisman Trophy finalists, and NFL players over the years.
Some of the notable players in UCLA football history include quarterback Troy Aikman, who led the Bruins to a 10-2 record and a Cotton Bowl victory in 1988, running back Gaston Green, who set the school's single-season rushing record with 1,405 yards in 1986, and linebacker Jerry Robinson, who was a three-time All-American in the late 1970s.
The UCLA football team is currently led by head coach Chip Kelly, who took over the program in 2018. The team's biggest rival is the USC Trojans, with whom they play annually in the "Battle for LA."
