Judas Priest is a British heavy metal band that formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England. The band's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Al Atkins, guitarist K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer John Ellis, but soon after, Rob Halford joined as the new lead vocalist.
