Jesus, also known as Jesus Christ, is a central figure in Christianity and is believed by Christians to be the son of God and the savior of humanity. He was born in Bethlehem in modern-day Palestine around 4 BC and was raised in Nazareth.

Jesus' life and teachings are recorded in the New Testament of the Christian Bible, which includes the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). According to the Bible, Jesus began his public ministry around the age of 30, traveling throughout the region and preaching a message of love, forgiveness, and salvation.

Jesus performed many miracles, including healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and raising the dead, which drew large crowds and made him both popular and controversial. He was eventually arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by crucifixion by the Roman authorities in Jerusalem.
