Dangerous Toys is an American rock band formed in Austin, Texas, in 1987. The band's lineup consisted of Jason McMaster (vocals), Scott Dalhover (guitar), Mark Geary (guitar), Mike Watson (bass), and Mike Watanabe (drums). They gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s for their energetic live performances and a style that combined hard rock and glam metal elements.
Their self-titled debut album, "Dangerous Toys," was released in 1989 and received positive reviews. The album included popular tracks like "Teas'n, Pleas'n" and "Scared." Their music videos received airplay on MTV, contributing to their growing fanbase.
The band released several more albums, including "Hellacious Acres" (1991), "Pissed" (1994), and "The R*tist 4*merly Known as Dangerous Toys" (1995). Although they didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as some of their peers in the glam metal scene, Dangerous Toys maintained a dedicated fanbase.
Over the years, the band's lineup changed several times, but Jason McMaster remained a constant member. Dangerous Toys continues to perform and release music for their loyal fanbase, and they are remembered as a part of the 1980s and 1990s hard rock and glam metal scene.
