The 2014 Pat Metheny Campfire Tour was a series of concerts by the jazz guitarist and composer Pat Metheny. The tour was a unique departure from Metheny's usual performances, as it featured a stripped-down, acoustic lineup and focused on a more intimate, informal setting that aimed to evoke the feeling of a campfire gathering.
Metheny was joined on the tour by three other musicians: Chris Potter on saxophone and woodwinds, Antonio Sanchez on percussion, and Ben Williams on bass. The concerts featured a mix of Metheny's original compositions, as well as covers of classic songs by artists such as Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel.
The Campfire Tour was designed to be a more personal and spontaneous experience for both the musicians and the audience. In addition to the music, Metheny and his bandmates also engaged in casual conversation and storytelling between songs, giving the concerts a relaxed and communal feel.
The Campfire Tour was well-received by both fans and critics, with many praising the intimate atmosphere and the musicians' skillful performances. The tour was captured on a live album and DVD release, entitled "Pat Metheny Unity Group: Kin."
